My name is Mark Cooprider, and I’ve been an English and literature teacher in a variety of settings for over ten years. I love helping my students grow in their understanding of the intricacies of stories and the complexity of our world. I’ve increasingly grown to believe that we all need art and beauty in our lives, and I think that stories and other art forms have the capacity to reflect the deepest truths and fill our lives with light and beauty.
I created this blog primarily as a place to publish scripts from my YouTube channel, which explores some of my favorite films and works of literature. But I’ll occasionally post pieces of creative writing here as well.
I chose the image of moonlight for these creative endeavors for reasons beyond the simple concept of “moonlighting.” It’s irresistibly metaphorical to me on many levels, and I hope to explore some of these ideas in poetry (like this).
Feel free to comment or drop me a line. Thanks for visiting!
